Chinese Medical Cupping

Service Description

"Cupping" is a traditional Chinese medicinal therapy, used in the treatment of high Yang issues such as bronchitis, coughs and colds, caused by the presence of too much Yin. It works by removing pathogens - toxins - that accumulate just under or on the skin. During the treatment, oil is applied to the skin, usually on the back, to help maintain suction and allow the cups to be positioned snugly in place. The therapist heats the air inside the cup (or uses mechanical suction) and then places the cup on specific acupuncture meridians and other areas of the body. Chinese Medical Cupping is effective in treating: Blood disorders, such as anemia and hemophilia; rheumatic diseases, such as arthritis and fibromyalgia; fertility and gynecological disorders; skin problems, such as eczema and acne; high blood pressure; migraines; anxiety and depression; bronchial congestion caused by allergies and asthma; varicose veins.
